4. Matanzas

This city is famous for its Afro-Cuban tradition. Located on the northern coast of the island of Cuba on the Bay of Matanzas, this city is placed at a distance of about 90 kilometers from Havana in Cuba and 32 kilometers from the town of Varadero. Matanzas is broadly visited by various tourists. The total area of Matanzas is 317 square kilometers and it features a population thickness of about 453.3 per square kilometers. The historic centre of Matanzas has some fine colonial houses embellished with wrought ironwork, vestiges of the town’s bygone economic and cultural prosperity. The omnipresence of water – Matanzas is on the sea and two rivers run through it – gives the town a special charm and has earned it the nickname the “Venice of Cuba”. 5. Santa Clara

Established on the banks of the Guadalupe River in 1777, the eighth California mission was funded as an additional outpost in the vicinity of San Francisco Bay, but was moved in 1781 to its present site on higher ground. Padre Junipero Serra officiated at the laying of the cornerstone for an impressive adobe church that was completed in 1784. With few yet interesting places of interest, Santa Clara makes for a fascinating tourist places. The reputed images which are identified with Santa Clara are Ernesto “Che” Guevara and Marta Abreu de Estevez. 6. Camaguey

7. Cienfuegos

One of the reputed Cuba tourist place is Cienfuegos. This city is located on the southern coastal area of Cuba. It is the capital city of the Cuban province of Cienfuegos. Take a long walk along spectacular seacoast avenue, you can also take a ferry across the bay to castle  "Castillo de Jagua"surrounded by a beautiful rocky shore. It takes about one hour to cross the Jagua Bay on the ferry.

10. Santiago de Cuba
